Pro Bono Opportunities for Attorneys and Law Students
Creative Rights is dedicated to providing meaningful arts-related pro bono opportunities for the legal community. Every one of our service areas contains a pro bono component, giving attorneys and law students a wide-range of options concerning the subject matter and scope of their involvement.
The CR Clinic allows volunteers to connect with creators and provide counseling in a casual setting. As part of the Clinic, law students receive background education on complex intellectual property and entertainment law issues, in addition to client counseling training. Pro bono opportunities with Creative Rights clients, on the other hand, give attorneys and law students the opportunity to be involved in large-scale projects, such as working on the development plan and proposal to city council of a multi-million dollar mixed use arts center.
Experience with entertainment law and intellectual property law is welcomed, but not required. We have pro bono opportunities geared toward many different audiences, including: attorneys seeking experience in a field they wish to transition into, law students looking for exposure to possible career paths, and experienced attorneys who wish to drive innovation and build a vibrant creative economy.
